Voice-SD chief Peter Pellegrini believes that the winner of the election will be given the opportunity to form a government.
Majersky said that KDH will sit at the table with anyone who invites it for negotiations. Pellegrini can imagine cooperation with KDH. During the negotiations, he will take into account whether the future coalition has a potential to be stable. He declined to answer the question as to whether or not he would ask Smer-SD leader Robert Fico for the premier post. According to Pellegrini, it can be assumed that the change of government will also lead to a change in the post of police chief. He expects a professional debate to be held on the issue of the special prosecutor.
According to Progressive Slovakia leader Michal Simecka, nothing prevents informal talks on forming a potential alternative from being held. If this fails, PS will go into the opposition.
'OLANO and Friends' leader Igor Matovic doesn't believe that the negotiations on an alternative government might be successful, but keeps fingers crossed for Simecka. He stressed he won't be a part of any alternative [of a governing coalition]. He will start working as an MP, but he doesn't know how long he will stay in parliament. He feels tired and disappointed.
SaS vice-chair Branislav Groehling has declared support for Progressive Slovakia in negotiations on an alternative government so that a democratic government can be formed that would drag the country westwards. He said that Pellegrini will be an "index hand" in the negotiations on the new government. SaS cannot imagine cooperation with OLANO under Matovic's leadership, he said.
