A direct air link that was set up in early May this year between the Slovak spa town of Piestany and Tel Aviv in Israel has contributed to the increasing interest of Israeli tourists in Tranava region, western Slovakia. Trnava region office has reported that an agreement on continuing the connection until February 2024 is thus being prepared. Israeli travel agencies are reportedly tentatively counting on the fact that the air link will be preserved for the time being. The line was originally supposed to operate only until mid-November.
