Slovakia mitigates risk of losing EU funds

Slovakia's caretaker Prime Minister, Ludovit Odor, expressed concerns about the country's use of EU funds from the previous program period. Initially estimated at a potential loss of €800 million, there is now a risk of failing to use approximately €100 million of these funds. Odor has made efficient EU fund allocation a top priority, with regular government discussions to address the issue. Various measures have been taken to reduce the risk of underutilization by at least 50% to ensure funds are used effectively by year-end.
