The Slovak Foreign Ministry called in Hungarian Ambassador to Slovakia Csaba Balogh to express concerns about recent statements made by Hungarian Foreign Affairs Minister Peter Szijjarto in Slovakia. They asked the Ambassador to convey Slovakia's objections to what they perceive as Hungarian interference in the Slovak election campaign. The ministry criticized the Hungarian minister's statements made during public gatherings in southern Slovakia on September 26 and 27, considering them as a breach of diplomatic communication standards.
