Primary paediatricians are appealing to the next Minister of Health to submit a prepared package of measures to stabilise paediatrics to Parliament without delay. Peadiatricians criticised the failure of parliament to hold a special session on measures to stabilise paediatrics. MPs were due to discuss a draft amendment to the Health Care Act that was supposed to bring, among other things, a reduction in the office hours of outpatient emergency rooms, as well as an increase in the fees for visiting outpatient emergency rooms and urgent care centres. Representatives of ambulance services and hospitals agreed on this set of measures.
