Education Minister Daniel Butora recently paid a visit to Kyiv to hold talks with his Ukrainian counterpart Oksen Lisovyi and sign an addendum to an existing cooperation agreement between the Slovak and Ukrainian Education Ministries. The aim of the trip was to develop and support Slovak-Ukrainian cooperation in the field of education and to develop contacts for longer-term cooperation between Slovakia and Ukraine. The two ministers discussed the education of Ukrainian refugee children in Slovakia, possible cooperation in the field of emotional health and social skills, and how Slovak organisations could help the Ukrainians with the reconstruction of school infrastructure.
