In Strasbourg, the European Parliament approved additional seats for EU member states, including Slovakia, which will have more MEPs after the upcoming elections. France, the Netherlands, and Spain will also gain seats, while other countries will see increased representation. This decision, supported by most MEPs, follows the European Council's move to increase the Parliament's overall seat count to maintain representation balance among member states based on population data before each election.
