EURO 2024 qualification: Slovakia – Portugal 0:1

Slovak footballers lost 0:1 to Portugal in Friday's European Championship 2024 qualification match. The triumph of the J-group favorite was decided by Bruno Fernandes in the 43rd minute at Tehelne pole. In the table, the Portuguese are in the lead with a full number of 15 points and with a score of 15:0, second Slovakia and third Luxembourg, which beat Iceland 3:1 on Friday, each have 10 points. The Slovaks gave a nice performance against the favorite, they created several chances, but in the 43rd they were not enough for the quick action of the opponent, which Fernandes capitalized on. The Portugal midfielder celebrated his birthday in style. Francesco Calzona's men will play in the next qualifying home match on Monday, September 11 at 8:45 p.m. against Liechtenstein. The first two teams from each of the ten groups will advance to next year's championship in Germany (June 14 - July 14).
