The overall number of visitors in hotels, guest houses and other tourism accommodation facilities in Slovakia reached 661,000 in July 2023, which amounts to year-on-year growth of 9 percent, the Statistics Office reported on Monday. However, the figure was still 7 percent lower than the more successful pre-pandemic 2019 levels. The number of nights spent in tourism facilities was slightly over two million, which equals a y-o-y increase of about 0.1 percent. The average length of stay was three nights.
