Slovak firefighters returned home on Tuesday afternoon after helping extinguish wildfires in Greece for ten days, the Firefighter and Emergency Corps (HaZZ) reported on a social network on the same day.
They were welcomed upon their arrival by HaZZ President Pavol Mikulasek, HaZZ first Vice-president Jozef Volansky and head of the Interior Ministry's crisis management section Michaela Kanova. "Subsequently, the firefighters went to the hospital, where they underwent medical checks," said HaZZ.
