Italian company Leonardo signed several strategic agreements with Slovakia's defence industry, specifically with Trencin-based companies LOTN and Virtual Reality Media (VRM) and Slavia Production system based in Detva (Banska Bystrica region). The concerned parties signed the agreements during the SIAF International Aviation Days last weekend, the company announced on Tuesday without revealing any more details.
"Leonardo has been developing local cooperation all over the world by adopting a business model aimed at promoting appropriate synergy with local industries based on long-term partnership and value chain development," said Corrado Falco, Senior Vice-president for International Business Development at Leonardo. According to him, Leonardo wants to offer Slovakia the latest and the most effective solutions available on the market that are aimed at the specific needs of the country. Leonardo is a leading global player developing multi-domain capabilities in the aerospace, defence and security sector. With 51,000 employees worldwide, it operates in the fields of helicopters, electronics, aircraft, cyber security and space, and is a key partner in major international programmes including Eurofighter, GCAP and Eurodrone.
