The new school year started for 720 thousand pupils and students at primary and secondary schools in Slovakia. 60 thousand of them are first graders. The new curriculum reform will be tested in 39 primary schools. Teachers will be able to adapt the pace of the material to students' abilities so that they can better understand and use the information. Education Minister Daniel Bútora says the project will be evaluated regularly and teachers will be supported, with more support centres being set up.
