The first of 76 Patria 8x8 armoured modular vehicles is set to be delivered to Slovakia in September, the spokeswoman for the Defence Ministry Maria Precner told TASR. The vehicle, which will serve as an ambulance, will undergo inspection and military tests that will take several months. The last vehicle is expected to arrive in 2027. Precner also confirmed the gradual transfer of the production of systems to Slovakia.
Slovakia signed an inter-governmental agreement on the purchase of 76 Patria 8x8 armoured modular vehicles with Finland in August last year. The total price of the contract, including logistics, infrastructure and ammunition, is €447 million.
