Apart from Ivan Korčok, the candidacy for the presidency has been announced only by the long-time diplomat Ján Kubiš. President Zuzana Čaputová has previously stated that she will not run for office. To enter the presidential race, one needs to secure support from at least 15 members of the National Council or gather 15,000 signatures from eligible voters. Political entities are currently tight-lipped about further candidacies, intending to make announcements after the parliamentary elections in September.
