The salaries of professional soldiers will increase by approximately five percent starting from September, as announced by Defense Minister Martin Sklenár on Wednesday. "This decision is primarily based on the ongoing inflation, rising prices, and our intention to maintain competitive remuneration for professional soldiers in the job market," Sklenár explained. The salary increase will be covered by the ministry's own resources and will not come at the expense of other departments.
