There's no need to take any key across-the-board measures to help borrowers concerning rising interest rates and instalment payments on mortgages, said caretaker Finance Minister Michal Horvath on Wednesday, adding that this conclusion stemmed from talks on the current situation on the mortgage market held between representatives of the Finance Ministry, Slovakia's central bank (NBS) and the Slovak Banking Association (SBA).
According to Horvath, the vast majority of bank clients should be able to handle the increased instalments. In individual cases, clients at risk can be helped by the banks themselves, he added.
