The total number of visitors to Slovak hotels, guesthouses and other accommodation facilities in June 2023 reached 543,000. This was an increase of almost 11 percent in yearly terms, the Statistics Office has reported. The number of nights spent by guests in hotels reached 1.3 million and was 9 percent higher than in June 2022. The average length of stay was 2.5 nights. According to the Statistics Office, hotels were 67,000 visitors short to match the same numbers of guests as in the same period before the pandemic, i.e. June 2019.
