The Nitra Faculty Hospital is confronting financial difficulties, with a recent deficit of eight million euros in its account, contrasting its previous strong financial position with almost 22 million euros. Following the resignation of former director Marian Korytiak due to economic underperformance, Health Minister Michal Palkovic appointed Michal Fajin as the new director to address the situation. Palkovic emphasized the need to address the hospital's accumulation of overdrafts and loss of liquidity, which were not issues in the past but have become pressing concerns. The hospital will undergo an audit to assess its financial status, and subsequent measures will be taken to stabilize and improve its operations, including investigating outstanding invoices totaling eight million euros.
