The expert government aims to work on a realistic plan to restore public finances before the elections. Additionally, it plans to propose specific measures to the next government, including targeted assistance for those in need, different approaches to EU funds, and decentralization. By mid-August, a six-month report on the state of public finances will be available, and the government must approach them cautiously, as expenditures have exceeded the approved state budget. Acting Finance Minister Michal Horváth emphasized the priority of restoring public finances and called on political parties to present concrete and measurable proposals to address the serious financial situation.
