28 Slovak firefighters helped to pump water to fill the fire engines of domestic firefighters during the second day of their deployment in Greece on Sunday. "The Slovak module later moved to another location in Rhodes to create a defensive line in a dry riverbed near the village of Asklipieio, which the module was protecting along with domestic fire fighters," said Bianka Kralovicova of the Slovak Firefighters and Emergency Corps (HaZZ) Presidium.
The firefighters are engaged in extinguishing fires in several locations in the given area, she added. "Their work continues to be complicated by extremely high temperatures and a strong wind that constantly changes direction," noted Kralovicova.
