Slovakia condemns Thursday's attack on the Swedish embassy in Baghdad, which was subsequently set on fire by demonstrators. Slovak Minister of Foreign Affairs stated this on social media. "Attacks on diplomatic buildings are unacceptable. We call on the Iraqi authorities to investigate this violence and protect diplomats in Iraq," reads his statement.
Hundreds of demonstrators stormed the Swedish embassy in Baghdad in the early hours of Thursday and set it on fire. Reuters and AFP agencies reported that this incident occurred during a protest against the planned burning of the Quran in Sweden on Thursday.
