On Sunday noon, firefighters managed to completely put out a fire that broke out in a grain field between the village of Most pri Bratislave and Bratislava's borough of Vrakuňa. The blaze which hit an area of some 120 hectares started on Saturday afternoon. More than 70 professional and volunteer firefighters from adjacent villages managed to cut off the flames from reaching Milan Rastislav Štefánik Airport in Bratislava. The fire took nearly 20 hours to extinguish.
