The first of the 16 Zuzana 2 howitzers ordered for Ukraine will be produced by the end of July. According to the Slovak Defence Ministry all 16 pieces will be handed over by the end of 2024. Production of the new equipment for Ukraine is jointly financed by Denmark, Germany and Norway, which earmarked €92 million for this purpose. Zuzana howitzers are produced by state-run joint-stock company Konstrukta Defence. Ukraine is currently using eight Zuzana 2 howitzers, which it purchased from Slovakia through a commercial contract.
