A skeleton of a child aged about one year dating from the Stone Age, a period of about 4,000 BC, has been discovered near Dudince's spa area in the Banska Bystrica region by a group of students of the Constantine the Philosopher University's Archaeology Department. The location of the find indicates that it used to be the site of a Stone Age settlement. The child's skeleton and additional findings of ancient ceramics, for instance, were excavated by the young archaeologists in two probes.
