House Chair Boris Kollar (Sme rodina) will not face a vote to oust him, as the extraordinary session with a no-confidence motion in him again failed to be convened due to the lack of a quorum. On Wednesday, only 55 lawmakers were present, whereas 76 were needed for the House to acquire a quorum.
The extraordinary session was initiated by lawmakers centered around ex-premier Eduard Heger over Kollar's admission that he had committed a physical assault against an ex-partner. On Tuesday, Kollar reiterated that he would not step down and claimed that the only reason behind the attempt to oust him was his efforts to protect the life and health of his then one-year-old child. The head of the SaS caucus Anna Zemanova called the scheduling of Wednesday's session - on the day of a public holiday - inconsiderate.
