Trenčín airport is traditionally the venue of the Pohoda festival, whose programme is prepared from 6 to 8 July. Due to traffic issues, the festival opened its parking and camping lots already on Wednesday evening. The long list of performers includes names such as Suzanne Vega, Jamie XX, Caroline Polachek or Ben Howard, Tata Bojs and Midi Lidi from the Czech Republic; among the local performers will be Jana Kirschner, Fallgrapp and Nina Kohout. The festival will also stage discussions on topics that are moving Slovakia, Europe and the world today. One of the speakers will be the Slovak President Zuzana Čaputová. The railway company Slovakia will strengthen train connections on Thursday (6/7) and Friday (7/7) by 3 carriages of 12 expresses from Bratislava to Košice and back with a stop in Trenčín.
