30% of Slovaks not to go on holiday

More than 30 percent of Slovaks will not take a summer vacation this year due to rising prices and high inflation, according to a survey requested by Home Credit and carried out by STEM/MARK agency at the turn of May and June. Conversely, 44 percent of the respondents said that they would take a holiday. Around 25 percent of Slovaks plan to vacation abroad, with the length of their stay being seven to ten days. Another 40 percent of the respondents want to spend a holiday in Slovakia, with their trips lasting four to six days.
 
When comparing vacation expenditures this year and last, 44 percent say that they will stay roughly the same. Around 25 percent expect higher expenditures, while 16 percent expect drastically higher costs. Conversely, 15 percent of the respondents plan to spend less.
