Caretaker Foreign Minister Miroslav Wlachovsky on Thursday gave awards to 14 figures of Slovak diplomacy for their extraordinary contributions and engagement during the 30 years of existence of the Slovak foreign service. "Thanks to their commitment, Slovakia has established itself as a respected member of the international democratic community and in the most successful economic, political and security groupings of the world," stated Wlachovsky.
Medals for services to Slovak diplomacy were awarded to Ingrid Brockova, Pavol Demes, Milan Knazko, Ivan Korcok, Miroslav Lajcak, Miroslav Mojzita and Rudolf Schuster.
The gold plaque of the foreign affairs minister was conferred on Andrea Elschekova Matisova, Marianna Oravcova, and Stefan Poloma in memoriam. The minister's silver plaque was presented to Viera Grigova, Jaroslav Hamsik, Imrich Marton and Zlatica Sisolakova.
