Survey: 36% concerned about election manipulation

Survey: 36% concerned about election manipulation

More than one third, namely 36.2 percent, of Slovaks are concerned that September’s general elections might be manipulated. This was revealed on Thursday by a poll carried out by the AKO agency for private TV Joj. Conversely, 58.2 percent of respondents have no worries about the potential manipulation of the snap election. The remaining 5.2 percent of respondents declined to answer the question regarding their concerns about the election manipulation.

Worries chiefly prevail among people aged between 50 and 65 and school-leavers without a graduation diploma. Women are concerned about the potential election manipulation more than men. Voters of the Republic, SNS and Smer-SD parties fear election manipulation the most. AKO agency carried out the survey on a sample of 1,000 respondents between June 6 and 9.
