Head of Parliament to Face No-Confidence Motion
Boris Kollar, the Parliamentary Chair from Sme Rodina, is expected to face a no-confidence motion as Independent MPs, led by Eduard Heger, have collected enough signatures to initiate a special session of the House. The parliamentary chair is required to convene the session within seven days of the motion being filed.

The MPs are reacting to Kollar's physical assault on his ex-partner 12 years ago. Kollar has admitted at several press conferences to slapping his ex-partner, claiming that he did so because she endangered their child. However, he denied her allegations, calling them a campaign to defame him.

The parliamentary committee for supervising the running of the Slovak Intelligence Service (SIS) has looked into the alleged tailing of Richterova. SIS chief Michal Alac has ruled out that the intelligence service was misused for the personal purposes of a constitutional official. Kollar has filed a criminal complaint against Richterova and unknown people that he believes are behind the affair.

Several parties have called on Kollar to step down, but Kollar doesn't intend to do so.
