President Zuzana Caputova has criticized parliamentary chair Boris Kollar for his attitude regarding his disagreement with his former partner. She expects the second highest constitutional official to reflect on his past actions. Some political parties share this view, and several MPs have already called on Kollar to resign. However, he has not done so. They are collecting the signatures needed to call an extraordinary session to recall him. Eduard Heger, former prime minister and leader of the Demokrati party, does not approve of the approach that “it is acceptable to harm women under certain circumstances.” Richard Sulik, the leader of the SaS party, has not yet confirmed whether he will support the recall attempt. Igor Matovic, leader of OĽANO, will not sign the proposal. According to him, it is a manipulation before the elections. The parties Smer-SD and Hlas-SD are uncertain about whether they will support the session. They expect the parliamentary chair to resign voluntarily. The Demokrati party plans to collect the missing signatures during today's House session on Tuesday, June 27. If they succeed, Boris Kollar will have to call a special session for his own dismissal within seven days.
