Unified tickets for trains, public city and regional transport should be possible in the near future, according to a new bill on public transport passed by Parliament on Wednesday (June 21).
According to the Parliament, the bill on public transport, which should come into effect on January 1, 2024, aims to merge the systems of public, regional, and rail transport, making transport more efficient and increasing the number on passengers. The goal is to improve the coordination of and links between individual transport types for the public benefit via a coordinating body called the National Transport Authority.
