The Visegrad Four (V4) countries want to intensify military cooperation. According to the Chief of the General Staff of the Slovak Armed Forces, General Daniel Zmeko, stepping up joint exercises is a way of improving cooperation and preparedness. He stated this after the meeting of the V4 Chiefs of General Staff.
The meeting recognised the significant change and deterioration of the security situation in the region and condemned the unprovoked invasion of Ukraine by the Russian Federation. They agreed that the current situation in Ukraine and the Western Balkans has a significant impact on the security and prosperity of the V4 countries.
