Zelenskyy thanked Slovak Parliament for recognising the Holomodor as genocide

On Tuesday, Parliament approved a resolution that states that the Holodomor was an event perpetrated with an intent to destroy a group of people by purposefully introducing abysmal living conditions leading to their physical ruination.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy thanked the Slovak Parliament on Tuesday for recognising the Holodomor in Ukraine as a genocide.

"I'm grateful to the Slovak Parliament for recognising the Holomodor in 1932-33 as a genocide of the Ukrainian people," Zelenskyy posted on a social network.  In addition, Parliament commemorated the Holodomor victims and expressed solidarity with the Ukrainian people.
