The Slovak national football team won Tuesday's match of the J-group of the EURO 2024 qualifiers in Liechtenstein 1:0. Defender Denis Vavro scored the game’s only goal with a header in injury time added to the first half. Captain Marek Hamšík said after the match that it was the last match in his international career. The Slovaks secured second place in the table, they have ten points after four games played. Portugal, the biggest favorite leads the group with twelve points. Francesco Calzona's men fulfilled their June mission having won 2:1 in Iceland on Saturday. Their next fixtures will be home games at the National Football Stadium in Bratislava on September 8 against Portugal and on September 11 against Liechtenstein.
