On Saturday, the Prosecutor General of the Slovak Republic Maroš Žilinka met with his Ukrainian Counterpart Andriy Kostin in the western Ukrainian town of Uzhhorod. The prosecutors-general also spoke about the cooperation of members of the joint investigation team tasked with gathering evidence of war crimes in Ukraine. Kostin praised Žilinka for being the first ever prosecutor-general from the European Union countries to visit Ukraine, in the very first weeks after the start of the war conflict last February. Žilinka met with then Prosecutor General Iryna Venediktova and representatives of the Ukrainian prosecutor's office in Ukraine last spring.
