Heavy rain and showers reigned over the weekend in most of Slovakia. In the capital Bratislava, nearly 80 fire-fighters have been dispatched in response to a storm with torrential rain that hit the city on Sunday.
The Bratislava city police warned that a number of roads have been flooded and are thus impassable. Fire fighters had to drain water that had accumulated on roads, underpasses and cellars of houses and flats.
