Current migration flows should not lead to renewed controls at the Czech-Slovak border, Czech Ambassador to Slovakia Rudolf Jindrák said at a meeting with Slovak Interior Minister Ivan Simko on Monday. In addition to border controls, Simko and Jindrak also discussed the importance of preventing the spread of disinformation and hoaxes in connection with the elections. Ivan Simko praised the work of the Ministry of the Interior's Centre for Combating Hybrid Threats, which is dedicated to monitoring and processing data and information from sources that show signs of radicalisation, hate speech, extremism and disinformation. The Minister and the Ambassador also agreed on the importance of developing and maintaining mutual cooperation, whether at the level of interior ministries or police forces.
