Most of the systems of the Bratislava city hall, such as the city website and its sub-sites, have already been restored after the massive cyber attack, spokeswoman for the capital Dagmar Schmuckova told TASR on Thursday, adding that most of the internal systems are already running too. According to the city, the attack caused network infrastructure overload. Technicians in cooperation with cyber security experts (the National Security Bureau, the government's CSIRT cybersecurity unit) have therefore intensively dealt with restoring the system during the past hours. "At the same time, they will take other measures to strengthen the municipality's defence capacity against such situations," pointed out Schmuckova.
