If parliamentary elections had been held in May, Smer-SD would have won with 16.9 percent of the vote, according to a recent poll conducted by the Ipsos agency for the daily Dennik N. Smer-SD would have been followed by Hlas-SD (Voice-SD) with 15.6 percent and Progresivne Slovensko (Progressive Slovakia) with 13.3 percent. Other parties that would have made it into parliament include Republika (Republic) 9.1 percent, Sme rodina (We Are Family) 7.5 percent, OLaNO 7 percent, Sloboda a solidarita (Freedom and Solidarity) 6.1 percent and the Kresťanskodemokratické hnutie (KDH Christian Democratic Movement) 5.2 percent. The survey was conducted between 16 and 19 May among a sample of 1,004 respondents.
