At its first session on Wednesday, the newly-appointed caretaker government headed by new Prime Minister Ludovit Odor will deal with the allocation of soldiers to help police officers carry out the border checks due to be reintroduced between May 24 and June 8 in connection with the Globsec conference. Up to 150 professional soldiers per day should help police officers during the temporary reintroduction of checks on Slovakia's internal borders.
Personnel proposals are among the main items on the agenda of the first session of the caretaker cabinet. These concern dismissals and appointments of state secretaries, particularly at the Health, Environment, Labour and Finance Ministries.
The government is also expected to approve Andrej Stec's nomination as a candidate for the post of judge of the General Court of the European Union.
