The general government deficit for last year accounted for 2 percent of GDP and was 3.2 percentage points lower than budgeted, according to a draft Final State Account for 2022 due to be approved by the interim Cabinet on Friday. Among the final points to be decided by the government in its current composition is the dismissal of three state secretaries - namely of the Health, Foreign Affairs and Labour Ministries. The interim government led by Eduard Heger is also set to approve the Environment Ministry's proposal to resolve the pollution of the Slana River. The ministry estimates the cost of its decontamination at €6 million.
