Slovak President Andrej Kiska donated his salary for June to ten families who are faced with difficult situations. Back during his campaign, Kiska vowed that he would allocate his monthly salaries as president to people in dire straits.
The final recipients of Kiska's net salary for June of €5,376.30 were picked based on proposals from organizations that help those in need - 'Plamienok', 'Úsmev ako Dar', the League against Cancer and Good Angel. Kiska, who was sworn in on 15 June, will continue to donate his salary every month.
