President Zuzana Caputova invited King Charles III to Slovakia

President Zuzana Caputova attended a gala reception at Buckingham Palace at the invitation of the King on the occasion of his coronation. Caputova congratulated Britain's King Charles III on his coronation and invited him to visit Slovakia. The Head of State made the announcement on social media. Caputova added that the King was very positive about Slovakia. "On behalf of Slovakia, I congratulated King Charles III on this extraordinary event and invited him to visit our country. In a short interview he also recalled his earlier visit to Slovakia. He has a very positive attitude towards Slovakia, so I repeated my invitation to him to visit our country," the President added in her statement.

During the reception, the Head of State also spoke with other members of the royal family, such as Catherine, Princess of Wales, as well as with many heads of state, especially from Europe. According to her, Slovakia is perceived positively in terms of its status and position on the protection of human rights, the values of the rule of law and support for Ukraine. "These were the issues that resonated. Although I know we have many problems at home, Slovakia is viewed very positively from the outside and I am honoured to represent it on this occasion," concluded Caputova.
