Former PM Dzurinda registers a new political party

The Interior Ministry has registered a new party “Modrí – Európske Slovensko”, which translates as 'Blues-European Slovakia'. The party applied for registration in early April. It handed over 12,861 signatures collected from the public in some four weeks. “We want the citizens of our homeland to benefit from the project of European unification, but at the same time we want Slovakia to be a contribution to this European project," one of the party's founders and former PM Mikulas Dzurinda told TASR. Dzurinda in early May said that Modrí wants to be a centre-right party of a conservative-liberal type.
