Students can again apply for the scholarship I study at home, Slovakia will reward me

Students can again apply for a scholarship. I study at home, Slovakia will reward me. The Ministry of Education, Science, Research and Sports of the Slovak Republic is again supporting and motivating students to study in Slovakia through the recovery plan. Students can receive a scholarship of 9,000 euros for a second time over three years. This year, 1,550 scholarships will be awarded, Michal Fedák, State Secretary of the Ministry of Education for Science, Research and Higher Education, informed about this on Tuesday.

The scholarship can be obtained by a student who has completed secondary school in Slovakia with the matriculation exam. The condition is enrollment in a full-time study program at a university based in the Slovak Republic for a bachelors or combined bachelors and masters studies. "The scholarship scheme is one of the tools we use to motivate students to stay and study in Slovakia. We create space for improving the position of Slovak higher education in the international field and increase the attractiveness of universities for retaining and attracting talent," said Fedák.

In the second year, domestic students can register in two categories. The first is the greatest talents among graduates (1000 places) and the second is above-average students who come from socially disadvantaged backgrounds or belong to specific disadvantaged groups (550 places). Students can apply for a scholarship until June 30 via the form on the website www.stipendia.portalvs.sk. The ranking of successful applicants will be determined based on the points for the results achieved in the various categories.

Each applicant will be entitled to a scholarship in the amount of 3,000 euros for one academic year during the first three years of university studies. Scholarships in the amount of 300 euros per month will be paid to students directly by the university. In addition, 2,000 euros per academic year will also be given to the university where this student will study. It should use it for systematic work with talented students.
