Football players of FC Spartak Trnava defended their triumph in the Slovak Cup. In Monday's final of the Slovnaft Cup 2022/2023 they defeated the football club ŠK Slovan Bratislava 3:1 after extra time at their home stadium and followed up last year's victory over this opponent. Spartak won the cup trophy for the fourth time in the era of independence after 1998, 2019 and 2022. Thanks to the cup triumph, the team of coach Michal Gasparik won a place in the 2nd preliminary round of the European Conference League.
