B9 Defence Ministers vow unity in Warsaw

At their meeting in Warsaw, Poland, the Bucharest Nine (B9), NATO's nine Eastern European members, have pledged their unity in upholding the security of the alliance’s eastern flank while also opposing Russia's attempts to rebuild its empire. Representing Slovakia at the talks was Interim Defence Minister Jaroslav Nad, who ahead of the meeting voiced his hopes for constructive talks on effective and sustainable solutions to strengthen the defence and deterrence configuration on the Alliance's eastern flank. The ministers also discussed the upcoming NATO summit in Vilnius. The B9 members are Slovakia, Poland, the Czech Republic, Romania, Bulgaria, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia and Lithuania. The current talks were also attended by British Defence Minister Ben Wallace.
