MPs should earn more than €6,000 per month in 2023, according to information provided to TASR by the Parliamentary Office. MPs' salaries are determined by the law on the salary conditions of Slovakia's certain constitutional officials. According to the law, an MP is entitled to a salary equalling three times the average monthly salary for the previous year. "On the basis of the above, an MP's salary in 2023 has been set at €3,912 [per month]," stated the Parliamentary Office's communications department. The salary also includes flat-rate allowances, whose amount varies depending on whether the MP is from Bratislava region or elsewhere. If they are from the Bratislava region, they receive an additional €2,348 per month, while an MP from elsewhere is given flat-rate compensation of €2,739.
