Furthermore, based on the development of world oil prices, fuel prices at Slovak petrol stations could return to a decline in the coming days, analysts predict. "If crude oil continues its downward trend, there will be room for fuel prices to fall in the coming weeks. In fact, the market is dominated by fears of a slowdown in the global economy, which outweigh concerns about lower oil production by OPEC," Jana Glasová, an analyst at 365.banka.
Brent crude oil prices have slipped on the world market towards USD 73 per barrel around mid-March. However, oil recovered before the Easter holidays and climbed towards USD 87 per barrel last week. Its rise was mainly due to the OPEC+ cartel's decision to cut its production to support its price, according to Glas.
